The men and women on the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan have the best equipment and weapons that money can buy, so what do you give to today's warrior to say thank you? How about tube socks and baby wipes. That is right, they need the simple things, the things that we all take for granted and luckily for us, they aren't that expensive!
Even in these trying economic times, we are blessed in many ways. We go to the cash machine and take out money for lunch, or drinks, or a movie...how about taking out a twenty for socks and wipes for those of us far from home carrying 90 lbs of gear through the mountains for days at a time?
Please take a minute and help, each of us can make a real difference to the life of a soldier. This isn't where you become one of a huge number of people doing something grand, your money will buy socks and wipes and someone will be better off because of it. It is that easy and as you can see in the letter below, it is that appreciated. Everyone talks about supporting the troops, now it is the time to actually show that support. $20 is all it will take! Let’s show our thanks by getting some socks and wipes!
Thank you everyone.
God Bless the US Armed Forces.
Thank You,
Chris Meek

Sgt Major Luke Converse
Hello, this is Sgt Major Luke Converse. I am the Battalion Sergeant Major for the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, currently deployed to Afghanistan. The Marines are doing some tremendous work over here. They are living rough, basically out of their LAV’s for the most part and are taking the fight to the Taliban. I have been in the Corps for 24 years and still marvel at Marines in combat. They are definitely living up to their legacy... Stamford Police Supports Soldier Socks
